I wanted to thank everyone for their great advice on this. There certainly are a lot of options.

It looks like the best possible solution would be to have some sort of spray on application - thanks Dylan for the link to some good products. Fat Mat, Dynamat, B-Quiet (thanks Jack), Quick Roof, Peel & Seal, etc. The options seem endless.

I've been warned about using the roofing stuff because of the asphalt - off gassing and flamable. However, there were more that have used it and haven't had a problem.

So in the end I guess it all boils down to my pocket book and how long I want to wait for product.

Again I appreciate your input and opinions! I'll let you all know how it goes.
