Would placing heat shield material around the coolant tubes do anything to prolong their existence?

Product like: http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/thermal_hose_sleeve.php

I put something like this on my engine's new fuel hoses that sit above the engine to the fuel rails. I expect it to help prevent the heat from drying out the rubber hoses over time. I figure one a year from this point I will take the sleeve off to inspect the new hose and see how it's doing.

I was thinking that maybe a product like this could be used to protect the sensitive coolant hoses in the engine bay.
