I read a post from someone on the samba who took a projector light
that I assume had HID in it from a Lexus. It was installed on his Jeep
and he got the proper cut of and it looks amazing. Now I am thinking
of looking at some junk yards for some 7" round projector lights that
had HID in them, then try and retrofit it into the SA Grill.

I agree that it might not be a good idea to try and place an HID bulb
in a halogen system.
Thanks for links. I bought that 7" Hella Light from Van Cafe a while
ago.
The only reason why I am looking to improve the lighting to the best
it can be as I am just tired of straining to see and I know from
driving modern cars that the new lighting systems really do make an
enormous difference when driving in the darkness on a small local road
in the middle of the night.
Now I am also looking for a light mounting rail for my Hella FF1000
Pencil Driving Lights that I bought from rallylights.com about 2 years
ago. I have them mounted to the fibgerlgass bumper but it's not a
great location as someone backed into the van and knocked one right
off the mount as it to low. So now I want a light bar to raise the
lights up a couple of inches.
Any ideas from anyone?
