I'm going to tackle my front brake pads this weekend, and noticed in the Bentley (46.5 A.) it says that new self locking bolts must be used when re-fastening brake caliper housing. I spoke with bus depot and it sounded to me like new bolts with locktite on them is what they sell for $6.00 a bolt. Is there any reason I just can't use more Loctite on the existing bolt or does it need to be replaced? I assume that I want to use the blue stuff, not red. Any other tips for front pads? After tackling the rear drum brakes, I figure this will be a breeze. I'm going to replace both front hoses as well. 89 Westy Troy |
