I have an aircooled 2.0 1982, out of the van down to the block and heads, well the left head and #4 rod arm are out It had a "tick" on the left side that began to sound more knock like since last year Coulda been the lifters, re-primed those but I broke an oil ring on the piston in the process of looking at the rod bearing So NOW... I may as well figure out whats wrong I can be hands on, im above a decent mechanic, I just think it would be quicker to have experience on my side And i have no knowledge of machining or the nuances of checking for what needs to be Not looking for free help Because money is tight "today" Would rather getting her running decently then put the full rebuild into her, will pull it in august and redo if necessary I just want to know i wont get stranded on 2 upcoming road trips Wiling to bring it to you Need it analyzed and a decision of what to do ASAP Thanks for looking |
