Subject: Air conditioning for your van...a friday alternative

Here, check this out as a way to enjoy your drive later on this summer when it gets really hot.

I used one of these with good results in my Black very stripped-out racecar. One August day, at Thunderhill Raceway near Redding, California we were 'red-flagged' (stopped, immediatly whereever you are on the track) while some emergency vehicles responded to a crash. The outside temps were a record setting 123f in Redding...inside my black P-car, encased in my fireproof driving suit and my helmet with the sun beating down and a couple of 4" diameter exhaust pipes running beneath my carbon fiber racing seat..I survived in comfort, but only because I had my Cool Shirt on, full blast!

Now in a Vanagon, on a nice warm outing, you could also use the cooler for some kinda beverage storage, right between the front seats...With some creative engineering, I bet you could adapt the system to use as a shower, too..

Happy friday don hanson
