i did a similar thing. i started the engine of my home build 15 degree inline vw swap for the first time, then two days later i was on the road for a 10,000 mile break in trip. drove from michigan doodle bug style out to Seattle for Ivars fireworks then down into oregon, then back up to the highline highway 2 back across the country through the UP of michigan and back down to the state to ann arbor.

it was a great time with lots of great memories :).
