A fair amount of heat is at the lower fins. Not sure, but a side fan might hamper air movement up. It might also introduce warmer air from higher up in Westy interior, to backside of refer.

Seems model # A10-2710VP might do a better job than stock or computer case fan. (moreover, 2 computer case fans)
