Great advocacy for the plains states Greg. Being a resident of the state of Iowa (and formerly Nebraska), its good to hear some Vanagon folks talking about the area that don't necessarily live there.

So here are my additions to the list.

Nebraska: Omaha has quite a lot to offer if you enjoy cities. Historic downtowns and Henry Doorly Zoo.

Iowa On the other side of the river from Omaha, Council Bluffs has some historic items like the Squirrel Cage Jail and the Union Pacific museum. Inside and outside of Council Bluffs are the Loess Hills which offer some awesome highway views (I recommend County Road L34)

So happy trails and if you are in the area, feel free to look me up (I currently live in Iowa City IA)

Happy Friday, Andrew > So, IF you have the time, here's a short list of stuff to see in (some > of) the plains states: > > Nebraska: > Lincoln has Burden's Surplus, 1015 W.
