Likely a pinion bearing going bad.. If you let it go too long before repair, it may ruin the ring & pinion itself and cost ya even more.. I have some whining coming from the back when I over about 40mph. It quiets down when I let off the gas and stops when I push in the clutch. It has about 150k on it. Is this a sign that it's on it's way out or could it be as simple as needing a fluid change? Thanks Steve
