Additional data. Van-Cafe's article on CVs says don't mix parts. They are pretty much dead on with this. While the balls on my mixture will fit both Lobro and OEM hubs and outers races on the CVs, when I put things together the CV was far too stiff (in fact it just didn't move at all.) So the inner and outer hubs need to be matched. In addition, I found one of the Lobro inner hubs wouldn't go on to the OEM shaft. Now that may just haven been due to the OEM shaft being a little dinged up, but I suspect that there may be just a bit of tolerance level there too.

At any rate, I got my mix and match replacement half shaft all put together with new boots and all (still need to put on the circlips). The misquitos have come out play in the DC suburbs. That tends to shorten my evening work hours (apparently I'm irresistible to them.)
