Subject: Throttle Valve switch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

Just got done installing new heads on my '85 1.9l and after start-up, I'm getting the surging idle. Took off the Throttle valve assy. and that little bugger of a micro switch is dead. Considering the cost, I would expect that thing to last a lot longer. My query is this. Has anyone ever spliced in a real switch such as Micro, Omron, Cherry ??? If so, what are the results and the fudge factor to install. Dave ( ready to go kayaking when the Westy runs ) Creasy
