I forget ......what kind of lug nut or bolt do the Rheins use ? .......ball face ( lik esteel 145 inc vangaon wheel use ) or 'tapered face' ......like the stock 14 alloy wheel nuts ?? And ....I put Rheins on an SVX sycnro Westy I built for a customer..... and I *know* I wouldn't mount hundreds of dollars of wheels and tires only 4 threads. It's been about 4 years since the, but I think I just used the 14 inch alloy taped wheel nuts on that sycnro.. and it was perfect. And ......people realize of course.........the whole idea of that tapered lug nut on 14 inch alloy wheels is that, since the alloy wheel is thicker than the stock steel wheel, and evidently they wanted to avoid needing longer studs to fit the thicker alloy wheels.....the made a nut design that 'reaches in further' ........ the taperd alloy nut 'reaches into' the wheel, maybe 3/16's of an inch further than a ball seat lug nut will. I kept the stock length studs on that syncro an it was just fine, super fine. scott www.turbovans.com
