have fun. years ago i tried to press apart a golf style water pump on a large Dake industrial press, i forget the tonnage of the press. it wasn't pretty. casting cracked even though i had it well supported. me thinks those pumps at least are put together with custom fixturing and not really designed to ever be taken part again. i would suggest a fully enclosed press or a pressing blanket to prevent the parts from leaving the press area under high velocity.

then again it could all be me just not being able to figure out the right approach at the time.
