Edward Maglott traced down the issue for those subscribers who were having difficulties receiving list mail. The problem should be resolved as of last evening. Details below: ] >>> Below is the conversation I've had with the admin for a mailing >> list >> > I am on. I stopped getting mail from the list to my main account >> > several weeks ago. The messages are not showing up in Postini >> > either. Can you help? >> >> Edward, our mail server log file shows that mail from 71.126.148.6 is >> rejected because its HELO name is not a fully qualified host name: >> >> Jun 9 14:02:59 tc3 postfix/smtpd[1804]: connect from >> gerry.vanagon.com[71.126.148.6] >> Jun 9 14:02:59 tc3 postfix/smtpd[1804]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from >> gerry.vanagon.com[71.126.148.6]: 504 5.5.2 <gerry>: Helo command The problem is that "gerry" is not fully qualified (gerry.vanagon.com). Thus, the recipient's server would reject the mail. Typically, that rejection generates no bounce message and the mail just 'disappears.' Good job Mr. Maglott! And thank you.
