John, you CAN make the repair with the Go Westy kit just the same.
Why they do not know this is beyond me. But here is what your gonna do
to save yourself from buying and installing another coolant pipe. Take one
of the brass ends from the Go Westy kit that has the flare end and insert
it in the end of the plastic coolant hose, it may need to be forced in, use
a block of wood and keep tapping on it until it is well seated and the
bubble end is as near the end of the plastic pipe as you can get it without
deforming the brass insert's flared end, now drill two 1/8" holes as opposite
from each other as you can get them so you can insert two short 1/8"
countersunk blind end pop rivets, make sure the surface where the hose will sit
is smooth and clean, apply some good RTV sealant, install the hose and clamp
with a good quality wide section stainless steel hose clamp, voila your
done and it will work. I have personally done this many times and have had
no problems with this repair.

=A0Sure enough one end on 1 of my pipes was almost out, just like the
pictu=
re on their website. =C2=A0The other end was much worst missing 1/2 the
pla=
stic rim on the end - probably from repair by past owner/shop during
engine=
replacement.=20
I sent a picture of this bad pipe end to Taylor at GoWesty and he gave me
t=
he bad news that the rim is is essential and the coolant repair kit won't
w=
ork for me. =C2=A0Has anyone got a 2wd plastic pipe to spare or maybe you
u=
pgraded to st stl and have an end that is popping out that you can send me
=
for insertion into my pipe so I can use the repair kit?=20
If I had known this ahead of time, I guess I could have used the recent
GoW=
esty free shipping offer on Memorial Day =C2=A0weekend on this big item
ins=
tead of the repair kit. =C2=A0Grrrrr....=20
