that's an obscene amount to have to pay for a new one.
I thought they were more like $ 400 from Bus Depot et all.
I got a fine used one for a hundred bucks once I think.
You many not be 'a welder' but you can weld.

Interestingly what may be a repair, has a stain of sorts in two spots:

If repaired, just one more reason to trash it IMO. Though I would
never use the term "weldor" and me in a sentence, to my eye, the tiny
"hole" appears to be a void revealed after bead ground down by
repairman.
Interesting to note that local prices of Manchester tanks vary.
Anywhere from ~ $489 to $750 Cnd. (not sure if regulator etc.
included on higher price quote)
