Congrats!

Amazing how many times it's a grounding issue.

Good on ya for saving a Syncro from the bone yard.

Reverse light issue could be due to connections at switch on tranny.
If not, try connecting these leads together (bypassing switch). Lights
go on, switch, or quality of connections bad. No light, problem
further "up stream".
