Brnedan,

Sounds like an issue at the ground clusters behind the fuse block. Common problem, windshield leaks on them. The big brown wires are the headlight grounds. Crimp on a ring terminal and attach them to the chassis. I used the big Phillip screws that holds the fuse box. Other possibility is the headlight switch has melted down.

Oil pressure and Temp gages are a good idea.
