I find it hard to believe there are still Vanagon Westy LP tanks out there that have not had the STUPID data tag, tack welded at the four corners, REMOVED, before the tank rusts through dead centre of that tag. IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO GO DO IT NOW ! This is a very old story and has been covered here for years ! Archives !! OK, back to your regulator and valves story. They all sound from your description to be serviceable. So, have the tank tested for leaks, then if good, have it sandblasted then put two coats of POR-15 on it, re-install your valves and you will be good until the valves and regulator fail sometime in the future, or just install all new valves and a new Marshall Brass 290 regulator. I have all these listed on my _Vanagon New Parts_ (http://frankcondelli.com/sales.htm) webpage under "Westfalia Camper Parts" heading OR you can get them at any good RV dealer that works on propane and has a parts department.

>>>>>Finally ran out of LP. Thankfully dinner was made! LP tank rusty, but looks "ok", and all works fine. (though tack welded tag partially rusted through and falling off) Regardless, tank could likely be preserved with wire wheel/paint. So....<<<<<<<<<
