perhaps with some education on the history of plaid in VW Buses.....
she can get on board with the nostalgia thing ............or 'classic VW'
etc.
but otherwise.......
orange .........orange is a funny color. Awesom color, but has to be used
in the right place.
the height of poor yucky taste, in my mind, is something like brown motel
walls, with orange-framed pictures on the walls.
orange is a 70's thing in a way .....
which is why you probably want it .........I think it looks yucky myself,
and am not even sure I'd do plaid at all....
but maybe if you show her a buncha pics of classic vw buses, that'l help.
I saw a Gullwing Mercedes 300SL once..........that was being driven by an
old guy .....
and it was his daily driver, his 'normal car' ..........and it was dinged
here and there.....he had owned it since new I think....
it was really ratty actually ............and it had blue plaid upholstery I
think.
What's important is that it be fun, of course.
Pretty impressive about using a 1933 sewing machine , btw !!
electric, or pedal treadle ?
