Buying a part like that from a shop that has already diagnosed the problem is going to cost more. Typical shop markup on parts is 100%.
IF you know what you need AND you can install it yourself AND you have time to wait you can find better deals.
I don't think that price really sounds unreasonable, all things considered. Shops have to make a living too.
