Did search the archives and read of rust issues a while ago.
Particularly about rust behind/at tag. At that time, I bent the tag
away from tank (it's now held on by two tack welds) and kept the area
behind tag clear. Kept tag as I wasn't sure if some LP jockey would
NOT fill it if tag gone. I understand why this type of tag should be
removed. If one has the tag still in good shape (ha!) I have read of
people using epoxy (JB?) to put them back on. (as per new Manchester
tags..... sealed all the way 'round) I'll see if mine can be saved. I
doubt it though. Thankfully, where I get LP locally, they never seem
to look for the tag.
Thanks for input on valves. One concern is if the Marshall 290 will
fit in place of the Rego regulator that's on there. Lines look like
they have been bent to accomodate the Rego. Don't want to bend them
anymore than need be. Maybe that Rego is still available.
