Ed, I'm REALLY sorry to hear this and glad your OK ! NOW, you gotta do your homework. DO NOT let the insurance company undervalue your van. GET as much documentation as you can. This is one of those cases that a good recent evaluation by a certified automobile evaluator would have been priceless. I had my '87 done after a friend of mine went through exactly the same story as your going through. GET your van evaluated now before it's too late. These vans are getting close to 30 years old BUT we have put untold hours of labour and untold amounts of dollars into them. This needs to be documented to get the best deal from the insurance company in cases like this. NEXT - are you SURE it's not repairable ? Post or send me and Ben some photos. We have brought back some awful looking wrecks in the past. If the body is sound and not rusty then the best deal would be to repair what you got !
