Hi Dylan,

Did the reman engines include the flywheel?

It could be that the installer set the endplay incorrectly, and the rebuilder is not at fault.

I have VWoC remans pushing both my Vanagon (1.9wbx) and Baywindow (1.7 Aircooled) buses right now, and they are running fine for me.
