Welcome here Rick. Your description makes me wonder if you could repeat it by putting the emergency brake on, engine running, then slowly begin letting out the clutch and quickly depress the clutch. I'm wondering if it's an engine mount on that side that finally let go? I'm pretty sure this would work in either forward or reverse gear.
