engines they were selling a few years  back.  They came from Germany in a wooded
crate.  I got several in  here when they were available and have one left
sitting in my shop.  These  were NOT the engines that were "REBUILT" in
Toronto.  It is all brand new  stuff with flywheel, oil filter, plugs and oil
sensors. Very awesome  conversation piece.  I may put it in a glass display
case for all who visit  to observe and drool over (:-)

No company like VW of VW of Canada could  ever claim an engine is 'rebuilt'
without going completely through the  bottom end.
I bought one new, from a VW dealer a few years ago.
It look  more than just rebuilt to me.
the heads looked brand new.
the case even  looked like it might have been brand  new.
