I seem to remember getting four people in the back seat of a Saab 96 once. The 96 is a fairly skinny car (with the added benefit that when the rear fender well rusts, it will shoot occasional pebbles from the road past the rear seat toward the driver's head. Great vehicle, but quirky). A mitigating factor is that unlike a boat, on a road cruise you can stop and Get Out any time you feel like it.
