If my daily driver is an '84 or later gas guzzler that is 'worth' less than $4,500 (or I'd sell it myself) I can go buy a new (must be new) Hyundai or Kia for around $12,000 and end up paying only $7,500? Damn, the Koreans are going to love that. BUT, if I had the cash or could afford the payments I probably wouldn't be driving a car worth less than the rebate in the first place. But better hurry, the offer will be limited to a total payout of $1 billion dollars (chump change for this Congress) so first pigs to the trough get the goodies. |
