very hard to find.
pretty rare these days.
you can use a later handle, from 85 and up .....
but it's shorter, making the already effort to open it yet higher.
removing the door panel and lubing thoroughly and adjusting in the door mechaisms helps............ helps a lot actually.
whatever engineer made that coil spring as strong as they did in the early slider door ............. .......kinda over did it.
Vastly improved design in 85 and up, or course.
I've 'home made' a handle before from 3./8 inch bar stock.
Had to drill and tap a hole in one end for the screw that holds the handle in the door,
and heat and bend a 90 degree bend in it.
A piece of rubber hose over the end to complete 'the handle' portion of it ..........it worked, and nicely too actually.
funky, but inexpensive and effective.

Hey guys I opened my slider door yesterday and the handle came right off. It looks like it cracked in half. Does anyone have a door handle they would like to sell me? Thanks
Danny
