I purchased a Subaru conversion from Hans at Vanaru. The cost was $6800 including the exhaust, and this particular 2.2 had only 10,000 miles on it. I like the fact that they test all their engines before shipping. Hans was extremely helpful before, during, and after the sale. Even helped me out with an Audiovox cruise control, which I could not have installed without his help. The Subaru's from vanaru have an easily accessible plug-in for OBD II. Great engine. The reason I bought mine is of the abundant of Subaru vehicles here in Alaska. Subarus are probably the most common vehicle up here and with good reason. If they can handle 40 and 50 below temperatures (and they do) it gives you some indication of just how reliable they are. Rock solid design. I would purchase another one in a heartbeat. My daily drive is a 2002 outback with a 2.5. Great vehicle!

Troy in Fairbanks, 89 Westy, Subie 2.2
