Subject: Audi Fog Light Switch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"

I am wiring up fog lights and backup lights on my syncro and remembered I bought a fog light switch at a VW show a couple of years ago and would like to use it since it has two on positions and it fits in the dash.

I thought this was the oem vanagon switch but when I went to hook it up, the connections have different labels. I was expecting 83a, 83b, +, & 31. According to vagcat.com this is an audi fog light switch model 100/Avant years 1977-1982 part# 431941535.

The connections on this switch are 31, 75h, 58a, 86N, & 55S. Can someone help me convert the connections? Im pretty sure the 31 is the ground for the light, the others are horizontal in orientation except 55S is vertical. Im wondering if the vanagon switch has the same layout but different labels.

Thanks in advance

David Hines
