always change out any coolant you can. So re-fill with high quality conventional anti-frz ( unless it has VW blue stuff or something special in it ) and water at 50/50.

you can't change the coolant on a vanagon too much . There's a lot in there, it gets old and yucky, and you never get all the old out of it.

Actually .....what would be really right on most vanagons , is a full completey coolant flush ...... drive it a week, and do it again, cause you never get all of the old junk out, and vanagons are very very good at having cooling system parts deteriorate .........from heat and age, but also from leaving old coolant in there. *anything* you go do freshed up the coolant is always good. scott www.turbovans.com
