not especially to me ..........since .........the center of the holes needs to be changed. right ? it's not just enlarging two holes per side, it's enlarging them and changing where the center is of each of four holes. . you might ask how many hours they're figuring. sounds like two hours shop time to me. ...... and ...........by the time it's all figured out, jigged up ..........etc. .....and finally done perfectly, I can imagine two hours easily. I don't think it's an excessive charge. perhaps if the guy did them on a regular basis, the price would come down. It could be on the higher end of the scale perhaps, , but I don't think it's a rip off.

I think I paid a general machine shop, not an automotive one, to turn down two rear flanges ( for disc brakes ) ......and it was about 70 to 80 bucks, ..... and that's kinda simple work, just turning down the outside of something round. For this job ........... Drilling the exact right size holes, on new centers, in an odd shaped thing like a spindle ....... pretty tricky in my opinion. Scott www.turbovans.com
