If you're comfortable with your head near the drivetrain when engine running, and can find someone you can trust..... get under the van and have a listen near clutch housing (aka bell housing) while they push clutch pedal up/down. Do this with engine off first. Problem might be as "simple as" something related to the clutch operating lever. (hopefully). Then do it with engine running, e-brake/brakes on, in neutral, wheels blocked, (safety first!!). If you hear the noise when clutch pedal depressed, then noise goes away when pedal let up, it might be the throw out bearing. Hopefully noise is not from tranny!
