Also check the wear on the hinges of the hanging doors (that keep the fan output from going out the front when the fan is stronger than ram air) and rebuild them if necessary. If one or both of those doors falls off the fan becomes useless, though ram air still works fine. They're plastic pins in little plastic clips, quite small. The pins wear triangular and the open end of the clips widens. I melted metal pins into place and rebuilt the clips with filled epoxy (J-B Weld or similar) IIRC. Access to the clips is a nuisance.

And it wouldn't be a bad time to add a relay in the high-speed switch position, to keep the switch from melting. On the 1.9s I'd also supply the relay from a second circuit, so the fuse will stop toasting the fuse cover and sometimes blowing.
