Hi Volks

As I was doing my morning ritual of going thru the latest Vanagon list email, I turned on my favorite NPR station which happened to playing Car Talk. A young-sounding woman just got on the air asking advice about a road trip in a van with her fiance. My ears perked up right then. One of the car guys asked what van they were planning to take on this trip and she said it was a 1986 VW Vanagon Westfalia with a rebuilt motor. That's when things got really funny.

You can listen to the show by going to npr.org and look up the podcast for July 4th. Not sure if it is a rerun, but I don't thing it was. At about 10 min. into the show is when the story began.

Happy 4th, all!
