yeah..........but that's not what the real question is ..... yes, hardtop means 'passenger vanagon'....... however...........what is a Wolfsburg with a poptop is not truly called a 'weekender' I believe.

So there's confusion .....while we call any poptop vanagon without a kitchen ......a weekender ...... I don't think that's the actual model name of certain year 'Wolfsburg' Vanagons ...... that have poptops and no kitchen....but they really are not correctly called 'weekdenders.'

there was a fuss about it a while ago .......a hard core type being adamant that it certain years and version might have a poptop and no kitchen, but they are not officially 'weekenders' . like my 85 Wolfsburg Weekender Vanagon ( poptop , no kitchen, deluze interior, shredomatic seat upholstery' ........... those are not really 'weekenders.' I prefer to call them weekenders. Straighten me out if any of this isn't correct.

let's see. .........mine can't really be called an 85 Wolfy ........because that could be a passenger 85 Wolfy Edition. I think mine might offically be called a 1985 Woflsburg Westfahlia. it does say 'westfhalia' on the pop top roof. given all that ..... that's why I asked about it. scott
