Jim, yes our cores are $575 but they are custom made in the USA out of all aluminum. The thing is that I don't believe there will be any aftermarket replacements coming from Europe as some other folks keep saying (it seems they always seem to miss the boat at the last moment). If you are pulling apart the dash to do the core replacement why would you want to put a used unit back in? It is at best 18 years old and who knows how long it has left to live. I know my cores are expensive, but they are super high quality and they are available now not in never, never land. I did this so that people who rip the dash apart, find a bad core, aren't stuck putting something used back in. If you need one they are available. Just let me know.
