Actually the Z-Bed was a $300 aftermarket bracket kit produced by the now-defunct Z Products Co., that allowed you to convert a stock Bus or Vanagon passenger van rear bench seat into a sofabed. The term Z-Bed has since come to be used for stock Westy sofabeds as well. While the Z-Bed is no longer made, Just Kampers in the U.K. produces a modern sofabed kit, which we carry. It's basically a hinge-and-bracket setup similar to that found on a Westy. At about $100 it's much cheaper than the Z-Bed kit was. However it doesn't use your stock rear bench seat; rather, you build your own sofabed out of plywood, foam, and upholstery (which is how the Westy one was also made).
