Ok, but how do you put the hose in a jar of brake fluid if it's attached to the slave cylinder? Quoted from Scott a few days ago: "I connect a small hose from the left rear brake bleed valve, then to the clutch slave bleed valve, and open both valves, so they are joined by a small hose. Then, pushing on the brake pedal, I pump brake fluid backwards and up through the clutch hydraulic system . Man.........that works like a champ ! You use a clear tube so you can see bubbles as the come out of the system, and also so you can tell when 'old-yucky' is turning to 'new fresh' , and it's time to move on to the next wheel. When you let the brake pedal return to the up position ..........the old brake fluid can't flow backwards back up into the brake system, with this tube in a jar method. The bottom of the tube needs to be well below the surface of the brake fluid in the jar of course. |
