i have one of these.  mine has a/c and a sunroof. (the overhead front a/c
covers the front of the sunroof like 5".)
 mine had the shreddy blue cord, its since been replaced w/ a '89 bluestar
interior.

anyway ive always seen these in the blue shreddy cord..  i have seen a '85
non GL hardtop vanagon with the dark brown cord tho.. it wasnt a wolfy.
it was a base model... no PS or tach, but it did have the weekender rear
sofabed and fold forward middle seat tho..  in the dark brown corduroy - not
the tan cord used in the westy weekenders...this was dark brown.   front
seats were dark brown cord with no armrests.  headliner was the white
kind...like in my doka.
van was solid beige, non metallic. no beltline stripe either.

what i thought was odd is that it was a '85 base model passenger van, but
it did have the rear sofabed option in dark brown corduroy.

never seen another like it since.
