I had one blow up on my F250 Power stroke Ford Diesel . They have 2 batts, must be in series. I had mine on a battery maintainer one cold fall night because sometimes starting a diesel when it's very cold is difficult. Around 3am I heard this low "Pow!" and I laid there in bed trying to figure out what that could have been. Next morning, there was my battery all over the truck engine compartment...blew to smithereens..the top...spread acid across my whole engine compatement and the fenders and hood.Big mess. My hose was frozen so washing all the acid off was not easy.. I'd hate to have the 'in your face' explosion mentioned in the start of this thread. Don Hanson
