Have you done this? Same type device, but not similar enough, in my opinion.

Two problems, I see with your idea;

1.) "rigging" it up to your MC,

2.) the internal seals were not engineered for continuous exposure to caustic brake fluid, and as a result, the unit could explode or leak during use. Maybe not right away, but eventually, as the fluid attacks the seals of the garden sprayer.

If you only got one use out of it, it's no longer such a good, safe, money-saving idea. If it sent you to the ER with brake fluid in your eyes, that'd be expensive , too..........not to mention the lawsuit, when someone else who got injured proves that you said it was a good idea.........

You could probably go to your local hardware store, garden supply or Wal Mart Garden place and get a Weed sprayer. Rig that to your MC and save $ rather than buying a Motive Power bleeder...Same thing, the weed sprayer.. Don Hanson

Ditto, Don and Scott!

But, I may never get to use it; I have both a Motive unit and and auto transmission.

I wonder, if you get a long enough hose, could a person bleed a different vehicle's brake/ clutch systems (using the good vehicle's brake system for pressure)? Hmmmm, we may haved stumbled onto something here. It seems to me to be a 'poor man's' version of a power-bleeder! I volunteer Scott to give it a try, and report back to us all............. Mike B. Neat trick.

Power bleeding with a Motive Power bleeder is the better way than a Vacuum Bleeder... When you are alone, the pressure-style bleeding systems are pretty fool-proof. I used to sometimes bleed brakes a couple of times per day in my racecar..So I do have some experience with that stuff. Don Hanson
