Sounds delightful, I wish I could go!
But Matilda and I are heading back to Newfoundland, after a whirlwind tour
to Washington DC to go to a conference, upstate NY pick up stuff at my
sister's, and lots of other places to see friends on the way.

She is now an official NY state resident, and I guess so am I.

And today she got into her first crash, at least on my watch.  Three car
fender-bender caused by someone who apparently tried to pass someone on the
right, sideswiped him instead, then ricocheted off and sideswiped Matilda.
 I'm glad I was in a big heavy van loaded with stuff - just a thump.  Small
scrapes and dents.  All three cars stopped, no one was hurt at all, we all
drove away.  Now I get to fight with his insurance company - sigh...  Too
bad the scrapes aren't on the rusted panel that I wanted to replace anyway!
 ;-)

So life is okay.  If anyone is heading way east, do come visit Newfoundland!
 It's a lovely place even if it is rather far away.
