Jim, see my _VW Westfalia Side Door Screen Curtain_ (http://frankcondelli.com/sdscreen.htm) webpage. These are made by Angele Martineau of Thetdford Mines, QC. She makes a model that fits your van perfectly. I have installed many of them myself, no problems at all.

You can buy them from van-cafe but they don't even have a category for 82-83 to select from.

Bus Depot doesn't list any at all at present that I could find.

What insurmountable problem could the 82-83 vanagon present that the later models do not that would prohibit the mounting of a simple bug screen?<<<<<<<<
