The engine has new temp sensor all around as well as a new thermostat.

How much for the tower?

He took a reading off the oxygen sensor and compared it to what was in the bentley and said it did not match? Not sure how long it was idling for when he took the reading.

I replaced every single sensor on the engine as well as the thermostat and housing unit.

It might be ground or the wiring for the sensor. Which one is the temp II? is that the one in front of the water pump or the one on left side of the push rod tubes on the drivers side?

My mechanic is a Nissan guy who is learning the VW Vanagon engine as he reads the manuals.
