I just use almost any "tire-black" type reconditioner, which usually lasts a week or two so I don't use it often. Your question raises a prospective issue so I'll just post a link so you can check it out if you like: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11 bob On Tue, Jul 21, 2009 at 11:56 AM, Costello, James L<jlcostello@kpmg.ca> wrote: > Hey Volks, > > Here's an odd question for everyone. I am looking at sprucing up my tires. The sidewalls have taken a fairly good beating, but the treads are still in good shape, so I don't want to purchase 4 new tires right now. Has anyone used any sort of paint to return the tires to a nice black? I have looked online and found some discussion in regards to Miller's paint (http://www.millertire.com/), and as well using Eastwood's Underbody Latex protectant (http://www.eastwood.com/ew-rubberized-undercoating-aerosol-18-oz.html). > > Has anyone had a chance to try either of these, or do you have a better solution? |
