Jake,

"Trim Replies" means delete the original email or at least part of the email
when replying.

This works great if you are following the entire thread but it's very
annoying to open a reply to an email in the middle of a conversation without
the thread attached.

At least with the thread attached, you can read the original email or emails
without searching around & piecing everything back together!

So, I don't "Trim Replies", I just make sure that my responses are always at
the top so that you don't have to scroll through the entire thread if you
don't want to.

But Jim is also complaining about empty replies. A "ditto", "OK", etc, etc
response is completely worthless and eats up bandwidth.
