Subject: Inject grease into rear wheel bearings w/o disassembly?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

While under the Vanagon to pull the starter I noticed the rubber boot on the passenger side CV joint is torn. No clunks from the CV's yet, so I was planning just to order four Febi boot and grease kits from busdepot and repack CV's. I was thinking that a rear wheel repacking might also be good, but I'm too busy/(lazy) this summer to also disassemble rear stub axles. (There is no sound or sign of the bearings being bad) Is there some other way to get grease on into the rear wheel bearings? With an injection needle?
